Fr. Vincent Capodanno Catholic Academy is proud of its ties to veterans.

Community projects include Hometown Heroes Book. Five volumes of the Hometown Heroes Book have been student-produced and published.

The series of books document the military experience of 250 Staten Island Veterans. Students are currently interviewing veterans for their sixth book.

Hometown Heroes is a living history project to help students understand the events that have shaped our world.

Our veterans' first-hand accounts and insights have been invaluable to our students. We remain committed to promoting patriotism and awareness of veterans' issues.
