Students at The Father Vincent Capodanno Catholic Academy receive a strong formation in the Catholic faith, excel in academics, participate in many civic activities to promote patriotism and study their role in the global community and the power that they have to make positive changes in the world. Each day we honor our school patron, Father Vincent Capodanno and promote the cause for the canonization of the Medal of Honor receipient. Father Vincent Capodanno was a native Staten Islander who was killed while tending to an injured soldier, on September 4, 1967 while serving in the Vietnam War.
Our school offers Free Pre-K 3, Free Universal Pre-K (UPK) and financial assistance opportunities for grades K through 8th. We cater to learners that may need different strategies to help them to excel. We offer SETSS, Occupational Therapy, Speech, Counseling, Title 1 remedial services, and a resource room program to help your child succeed. Our talented teachers differentiate instruction meeting all ouf our student's needs. Father Capodanno Catholic Academy inspires students to develop their God given talents for themselves and to share for the good of others.
We strive to continue to develop strong ties with the community, especially with veteran's organizations and the New York City Police Department throughout the year.
