Homework is given Monday – Thursday.
If you are absent, you will take your test the first day you return.
How Your Grade is Calculated:- Tests → 45%
- Quizzes → 25%
- Classwork & Participation → 20%
- Homework → 10%

Helpful Reminders
1️⃣ Take Your Time –
Read the text slowly and carefully
to ensure understanding.
2️⃣ Ask Questions – While reading,
think about who, what, where,
when, why,
and how.
3️⃣ Highlight or Underline – Mark key details, important words,
or phrases that stand out.
4️⃣ Summarize as You Go –
After each paragraph,
stop and think:
What was it mostly about?
5️⃣ Look for Context Clues –
Use surrounding words to
figure out tricky meanings.
6️⃣ Reread if Needed – If something
doesn’t make sense, go back
and read it again.
7️⃣ Make Connections – Relate the
text to what you already know.
8️⃣ Visualize the Story – Picture the characters, setting,
or events in your mind.

our Social Studies project.
We will be working on this project
